You Can’t Have Too Much Jesus

Why? Because He was present at the beginning of time. He spoke into existence all that Jehovah designed, (who designed it with Jesus in mind). And Christ nurtures and maintains the universe, until He returns to usher His Father’s children into eternal paradise. (Jn. 1:1; Col. 1:16, 17; Mt 25:34.)

We can’t have too much Jesus because He came to fill a need that we could not meet – the need to live a sinless life, to be able to pass over death into eternal life. Jesus showed us that it could be done because He did it. Yet He was no ordinary human being. No other person in history was / is able to follow His example.

Praise God for His grace though Jesus Christ. He allowed His children to co-opt His Son’s righteousness so that they appear acceptable to Him through our faith in Christ’s sacrifice:

…be reconciled to God. He made Christ who knew no sin to [judicially] be sin on our behalf, so that in Him we would become the righteousness of God [that is, we would be made acceptable to Him and placed in a right relationship with Him by His gracious lovingkindness}. 2 Cor. 5:20, 21. AMP

In this process, we are forgiven our transgressions, and bolstered in our faith by the resurrection of Jesus, so that we never feel the sting of death:

“I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die.”
Jn. 11:25, 26. NASB

Jesus was offered for all people when He was on the cross. Yet even when we’ve received Him, the enemy never lets up. However, Christ is always by our side:

“…I am with you always [remaining with you perpetually – regardless of circumstance, and on every occasion], even to the end of the age.” Mt. 28:20 AMP

We were made to give God glory; and Christ came to position us to be able to. We need Him to strengthen us to do so, because we are weak. We fall prey to the devil and his suggestions. Yet if we stay in God’s word, we are walking with Jesus, which opens the door for Him to use us to fulfill our godly purposes:

“My grace is sufficient for you [My lovingkindness and My mercy are more than enough – always available – regardless of the situation]; for [My] power is being perfected [and is completed and shows itself most effectively] in [your] weakness.” 2 Cor. 12:9 AMP

…the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen and protect you from the evil one. 2 Thess. 3:3 NASB

We can depend on Jesus. We can reach out when we’ve lost our way. He empowers us to be what God intended us to be. Our focus is changed from the temporal to the eternal as we move and have our being through the eyes of Christ, submitting ourselves to His directives.

In Him was life [and the power to bestow life], and the life was the Light of men. Jn. 1:4 AMP

He will bring me out to the light, and I will behold His [amazing] righteousness and His remarkable deliverance. Mic. 7:9 AMP

You can’t have too much Jesus, because He is the original template for the human heart. When we connect our heart to His we can climb out of our adversities and walk the godly walk that brings truth, peace, joy and love – a love that does not ever let you go:

“I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows].” Jn. 10:10 AMP

And that same love brings Him back:

“…they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.” Mt. 24:30 NKJV

“Surely I am coming quickly.” Rv. 22:20 NKJV

You just can’t get too much of Jesus…

Goodnight and God bless.
