Have Faith in Hard Times

“Be still and know (recognize, understand) that I am God…The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our stronghold [our refuge, our high tower]. Ps. 46:10, 11. AMP

God is in control. He is our rock; and we can stand on that rock when we have faith. It doesn’t matter what is going on in the world. Even if it appears disastrous, (like the present manufactured coronavirus crisis), God will make something good of it for His children:

And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose. Rm. 8:28 AMP

I am not one to engage in or propagate conspiracy theories. I say ‘manufactured’ crisis because the facts are clear. This Wuhan virus (and there is nothing ‘racist’ about citing the site of origin of a disease organism), may or may not be a lab experiment gone bad, that remains to be seen.

What is clearly witnessed, is that the politicians have created an overblown ‘end times’ scenario, to strictly weaponize the bug, to introduce greater government controls on the governed, many of which never seem to get lifted when the crisis in question is over. In their built-in bias, these same politicians use the so-called disaster to bash their political rivals to gain greater traction at the polls.

These ‘public servants’ fiddle while Rome burns,’ gaining greater satisfaction if they can pin the problem on the leader, regardless of his best efforts. Be assured that they do not have your welfare in mind. It’s about power and never letting a crisis go to waste.

And the media is like the devil’s false prophet – spewing lies and sensational headlines to sell the news, the listener’s anxiety be damned.  If you listen to them, the world is coming to an end as millions of people on this earth have their lives snuffed out.

They are nothing but fear mongers. We’ve watched them lie prodigiously for the last 3+ years about everything.

What got me started down this road? I went to a major grocery market this morning.  No bread. No meat. No dairy. No eggs. No paper products. What is this obsession over toilet paper? It is a respiratory infection. Wrong orifice.

Our food and paper supply lines are still intact. Why hoard? The very act of hoarding fills one with distress over the media-induced fear of scarcity. What they are really doing is hurting others who need these things as much as they do. People are fighting over toilet paper! There is plenty to go around.

What about forcing businesses to close? The outcome is to shred a thriving economy, again to try to put a black mark on a political foe. None of this is good, or does it foster care and love for our neighbors.

What is true here?

Yes, the Wuhan virus is more contagious than the common flu. But the flu kills far more people. China was the number one country for infections and death. Can it be because Wuhan was ground zero and many places had questionable hygiene?

Mostly older people, with or without underlying conditions, are highest at risk – just like with the regular flu. Italy is in the top 3 countries severely affected because (along with Japan) it is the oldest (population age) and thus most susceptible.

There is already over 100,000 infected people world-wide who have recovered already. At this writing, there are 3 extremely promising ‘cures.’

Any outbreak follows a bell curve. It will flatten out when the weather warms up. No reason to panic. This is just another play for the media and government to try to get you to accept how vital they are to your well-being. It’s a continuing power grab.

No reason to panic and follow the world as it loses its senses:

…do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you]. Rm. 12:2 AMP

“Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.” Mt. 6:34 MSG

Of course, we must exercise common sense, but there is no need to be filled with dread.

The Wuhan virus is just another temporary blip in a long line of fleeting diseases like SARS,
MERS, the swine flu, and the bird flu, and we survived them all. (Funny though that they seem to show up in election years and emerge from a common locale).

God loves you and He has your answers – always. Have faith…

“For I am the LORD who heals you.” Ex. 15:26 NKJV

 Goodnight and God bless.
